Please read these Terms carefully before using Expenz. They govern your use of the Service and set out your rights and responsibilities.
Important Notice
Expenz is a personal finance tracking tool, not a regulated financial adviser. Nothing in this app constitutes financial advice. Always consult a qualified financial professional before making financial decisions.
1. Agreement
By using Expenz you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you disagree, do not use the service.
2. The Service
Expenz is a personal expense tracking app. You can log transactions manually and scan receipts or invoices using AI-assisted extraction. Before extraction you may crop the image and draw blackout strokes on a preview; the edited image is what is sent for AI processing when you continue. Features may change over time. The app syncs data via Supabase. This build does not connect to your bank — any bank-linking description on older marketing pages does not apply until such a feature is released in the app.
3. Not Financial Advice
Expenz is not a regulated financial adviser. Nothing in the app is tax, legal, investment, or accounting advice. Verify all figures against official documents.
4. Accounts and Eligibility
You must be able to contract and use the app lawfully. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your sign-in secure.
5. AI Scanning
AI output can be wrong. You are responsible for reviewing extracted data. By continuing after the in-app notice you consent to sending the image you confirm from the pre-scan editor (including any crop or markup) to our backend and third-party AI providers as described in the Privacy Policy. Do not upload documents you are not entitled to share. In-app editing and settings help you limit what is sent and stored; they do not replace your obligation to use the service lawfully or to meet any regulatory, contractual, or professional requirements that apply to you.
6. Subscriptions
Paid plans may be offered via Apple or Google. Billing, renewals, and refunds follow the store’s rules. Subscription state may be processed through RevenueCat.
7. User Content
You retain ownership of content you add. You grant us permission to host, process, and display it solely to provide the service to you.
8. Acceptable Use
Do not misuse the service, attempt unauthorised access, or upload unlawful or harmful content.
9. Disclaimers and Liability
The service is provided 'as is' to the fullest extent permitted by law. We are not liable for losses from reliance on AI extraction, exchange rates, or sync delays, except where liability cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law.
10. Termination
You may stop using Expenz or request account deletion. We may suspend access for serious breaches or risk.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to mandatory consumer protections where you live.
